Sharon first began decorating cakes for her son’s first birthday in 2005.  Since then, she has completed all of the Wilton cake decorating courses at Michael’s arts and crafts store under the direction of Susan Storey.  Shortly after beginning the classes, she was encouraged to participate in the 2008 Panhandle Cake C.R.U.M.B.S. 4th annual cake competition and show.  A beginner in the craft she entered into the novice division.  She won gold medal that year.

After winning in her division for that competition she joined the Panhandle Cake C.R.U.M.B.S. and was voted in as secretary.  In 2009 she helped to organize the 5th annual cake competition and show.  Since she had won in the novice division the previous year, she was required to enter in the professional division.  She won bronze medal for her creation.  She also participated in the on-site, one-tip decorating competition and the taste competition.  Sharon won gold medal in both categories.

In 2010 she won silver for her taste cake, chocolate covered cherry.

In 2011 she won silver medal for her Scooby Doo inspired cake.  She also won People’s Choice award!

In 2012 she won Bronze medal for her creation in the Grandma’s Attic Competition.  We look forward to more wonderful creations to come from the mind of this new young talent.
